Can I get a six pack playing on my Nintendo Wii sports game?!

Question: Hi All,

I am a severely obese man and eat approx 5,000 calories per day (mainly pizza's and takeaways but I do have the odd chocolate bar I must admit to). I play Wii Tennis for 10 minutes a day and also do at least 3 sit-ups each morning when I wake up (I read it was best to do exercise first thing).

How many sets of tennis will I have to play before my ab's are visible?

Take in less calories a day.
That's the best advice, and no. Wii Sports will not help you much there.

The best exercise you can get from it is the boxing.
(Becoming quite the popular little aerobic exercise
older people. And when I say older people... I don't mean
in their 30's. 60's and up.)

Now personally if you're looking for a game on the wii to really help get the Dance Dance Revolution. I have it on the xbox and lost some significant weight with the calorie tracker, and eating less calories. The less you take in, and the more you burn equals more weight loss.

Never going to happen. You'd need to sort out your diet and dramatically cut your calorie intake. You would also need to do more exercise than you are currently doing.
It would take months before you will be able to see your abs.

please consult your doctor and then w/a personal trainer.

OMG u are stupid. you cannot get anything but regular "excersise" ( which is the equivalent to walking) playing wii sports. keep up with the sit-ups and try to eat less. good luck ^_^

i suppose if you lay on the ground and do sit-ups or curls or you can get on your knees, hold your abs tight and do side and middle crunches........try it...

Well, maybe but you need to understand that there is a formula that says for every so many calories you eat you need to do so much work, that is, move so much mass over distance. Given your diet, I do not think that there is enough time in the day to play Wii enough to lose any weight. I would recommend you get yourself an AC generator with a pulley drive. Disconnect the pulley drive from the gasoline or electric motor. Take the back tire off a bicycle. Then run the pulley belt around the back wheel of the bicycle and plug the Wii into the generator. Now in order to play Wii you have to also be riding your new stationary bike. This is a great way to change Wii-ercise into real exercise.

You need to go on a diet. Only playing 10 min. a day and only 3 sit ups won't help at all. You need to exercise at least 30 min a day and eat healthier food. Join a gym and now most of them are 24 hours so they work with your schedule. South beach diet is good and it is quick. If I were you I would start asap because being that overweight can cause some serious and even deadly health issues.

well i don't think that you really can but it might get you in shape

umm no if you are severely obese go on a run stop eating pizza
