Who else thinks the phrase "tighten up" should be used instead of &quo!
Question: When I think tighten up, I think of someone who is getting "Fit" and not just skinny. Losing weight I fill is a bad phrase because it is intimidating and makes people go over board in the lose weight deal. But tighten up. Aaahhh seems like the perfect phrase, I think of someone in shape, not too skinny and not fat.
What do you personal trainers and other folks think?

Brilient idea. lose weight is such a overused term I think tighten up is a fresh start it sound so much more possitive. Tone up is a similar phrase that is out there still.
id say if your aiming for 10 lbs or less that sounds good or if your just looking to tone up
but for somebody who is 20 lbs or more overweight i think the phrase lose weight is acceptable ( =
how about getting 'toned'/'buff'/'in shape'/ Losing weight is a horrible phrase. Woman in particular get pre-occupied with it. "They need to tone up not lose weight". that sounds a lot better.
How about EAT LESS and MOVE MORE!...Whatever it takes to get gluttonous overweight slovenly Americans to have a little pride in Our Country and gain more Self-Respect.
