Im 16 and I workout at the YMCA on their machines. Am I Screwin Myself Up.?!

Question: Im 16 im about 5,6. Been short pretty much all my life, exept now I suppose im slightly below average. Im About 120 pounds, so im like slender I suppose. I workout every other day at the YMCA on their machines and with there little dumbells. Basically I do almost everything I can there. The workout are always good, and I never go easy on myself.
Anyway I was just wondering if doing this before you are eighteen can screw you up, and if maybe I should just revert to the old school push-up in my room.

You are not going to hurt anything by working out. It is good to get into a good healthy work out habit now while you are young and carry it into your adult years.

It is healthiest to work different muscle groups and not do the same thing repetitively (such as the same thing every time you go.) It is great cardio work and you will have a happy healthy heart to thank you one day!

You could talk to the fitness director of the Y or schedule a consult with one of the physical fitness trainers and see their take on your situation and perhaps they would have some good hints and tips to make your exercise routine even more enjoyable.

BTW-
Dont listen to anyone buggin' you about being short- your not that short- and theres nothing you can do about your height anyhow! My husband is only 5'4! Im 5'2 and our boy is 6'2!!!

Keep up the good work!

Not at all. It will definitely not "screw you up". You could, though, go a little easier on yourself.

You'r not short! You'r tall enough to be a model! now I'M short.
Edit: OMG! your a guy? Short, yes you are!!!
