Do low car diets really work?!

Question: I need to drop about 10-20 pounds over the next 6 weeks. Would that do it?

Answers: I need to drop about 10-20 pounds over the next 6 weeks. Would that do it?

- low carb diets aren't going to work
- 10-20 pounds is very easy to lose in 6 weeks if you can lose 2-3 pounds a week
heres what to avoid when you are on a diet (always check the label):

pork/red meat/ processed meat
high fructose syrup
MSG/BHT/other perservatives
partially hyrogenated oils
white flour
obvious junk foodies

here's what you need to add more of to your diet
fruits
veggies
WHOLE WHEAT, WHOLE GRAIN, (WHOLE _____) ETC should always be the first ingredient for all breads and grain products
eat salmon
nuts/berries/ seeds
fiber
protein
soy (soy milk, tofu)
yogurt (make sure there is no hgihg fructose corn syrup in it)

no

he shoots for 2! he scores! lakers up by two!

it will ruin your methabolism ang get fat even more as soon as you eat normally again.
Don't do it, do a proper diet and gain in health.

No, I like high cars better.

work out alot, it tones you up but in some cases can make you gain b/c muscle weighs more than fat.

drive a low rider

low cars don't do anything for your weight. Low carbs however do, but it's a stupid way to lose weight, exercise.

idk about that b/c i did a low carb diet for 6 months and lost 33 pounds but that diet takes a long time the best thing to do that takes a while though is a low carb high protein diet (lots of meat and nuts) and exercise and it will work just fine

I,m not sure that the height of aCar has much to do with weight loss, but i hear that low Carb. high protein diets are ideal for fast loss.

my husband's friend has a low car. it appears to work quite well.

if you meant low carb, no. you need a balanced diet low in fat and calories, plus exercise.

Do they work? = Yes. Is it a good thing for you? - You need to ask your doctor.
Especially if you go for the severly restrictive type diet.

But there are some interesting concepts about carbs. Like if you are hungary before a meal, don't snack on a pretzel or other carb. Try a small handful of peanuts or other protein type snack item. You may be surprised how well it will satisfy the hunger pang. And it doesn't wear off as rapidly as a carb snack.

Well yes and no. Low carb diets are effective not because you cut out carbs but because when you cut the carbs...you typically cut an area of your diet that contains a certain amount of calories. Yea you will lose weight but a majority of the first part of weight lost, is water weight. 10-20 pounds over the course of 6 weeks is NOT realistic weightloss and if you did achieve it, a majority of it would not be fat loss, but water and muscle loss. It took time to get the weight...it's going to take time to lose it. Sorry.

No they don't work. Fact is, 50-65% of your diet should come from carbs. Low carb diets are a gimmick.
Do this to drop weight:
1. Limit fast foods to once a week.
2. Cut back on your portions.
3. Limit your sweets to once-twice a week.
4. Don't drink sodas
5. Watch what you eat at night, it doesn't get burned off like when you eat in the daytime.
6. Cut back on cheese.
7. Start walking 6 days a week. Start out for 15 minutes and gradually increase.
Doing these things are alot easier then having to watch every single thing that you eat, and they will teach you how to eat right for a life time...
