How long will it take me to lose this weight?!


Question: Right now i weigh 85kg (187lbs.) and I want to get down to 70kg (155lbs.). I'm going to be eating 1200 calories a day and drinking nothing but water and green tea and suddenly STOP drinking 1.5 litres of soda a day. Also, I'll be running 10km a day and doing 100 crunches and 75 push-ups a day. How long will it take me to lose this weight? If that's too little calories, how much calories should I consume then?

the calories seem about right (but remember, just because your limiting your calories doesn't mean you can spend half of them on a little peice of cake!). now to the how long will it take. it really depends. because your running and doing push ups and crunches, you might be gaining muscle while on your diet. and muscle weighs more than fat. anyway, i'd say DON'T GIVE UP! you probably won't see results for at least 2 weeks, but may feel them after only a few days. you may be able to run faster, do the push ups with out a problem, and might have to add on to your crunches. i remember when my sister was really into excersizing, she'd do 1000 crunches a day after she got home from school (she built up to it).

I think that should take about a month if you keep it up. but to be on the safe side and don't get dizzy, stick to 1500 calories a day. Good Luck!
