I am 13 & planned to only eat when I am hungry now my mom think i am sufffering !


Question: What should I tell my mom I know i am not suffrinng from anything..I just want to be more healthier because I usaly eat when I am boared.

Just try and explain it to her. As long as she knows you are eating when your hungry and not starving youself she might understand.

But she's only doing her job in being worried about you.

no you defiently not suffering from anerxia loads of people eat when there are hungry. Your mum only things you ar suffering because she's not used to you only eating when you hungry

hey, im 12 and im sorta having the same problems. i dont really eat as much as i used to now. i feel as if im sorta getting fatter. my sister tells me that im getting weird but just do wateva u feels rite. good luck !

umm well my sister is 4'9" and she weighs less than 70 pounds and she isnt anorexic so i think you are a healthy weight

Well if your eating when your not hungry then your eating food that your body doesn't need.

Knowing when your hungry should be as easy as knowing when you need to pee, as long as you do eat healthily and get the RDA of all necessary vitamins then it shouldn't be a problem with your mum.

Maybe if you have one hot meal a day with your family, just to keep them happy.

You shouldn't eat only when you are hungry. That's as bad as only putting gas in your car when you start running on empty. Pangs of hunger mean that you have started going past the point which is healthy for your body to be at. It isn't saying "I need fuel", it is saying "I needed fuel and still do". You shouldn't overeat, but you should eat in preparation for the activities you'll encounter throughout the day and to maintain your body's health.

EDIT: Telling you that you need more exercise has nothing to do with your weight. And if you ate healthy foods then even if you sometimes ate because you were bored you would at least not be adding to any health problems.

Tell your mum what youve told everyone else. But make sure you DO eat when youre hungry, or your mum willrightly be concerned.

she eat when hungry and her mum thinks she anorexia but she was thin, also i think she 8 stone now but she is eatting more now.

and u are 6 stone, maybe your mum is right.

Seems like you are getting health conscious. Well, its good that you are worried about your health. But the thing is, although your mom maybe wrong about the anorexia part, she is just worried that you are not eating like what you used to, eat whenever you are bored.

I may go a bit off topic here but Im going to say that dont even restrict how much you are going to eat.

Well from what I know, eating a lot or eating all the time does not matter at all.
The thing which matters are these:

1. What you eat.
2. What you do.

1.what you eat matters a lot. I think its quite obvious. You know, the usual: not too much junk food. etc.

2.Ah...This is more important than the previous point. If you eat a lot and sit around all day watching TV or just locking yourself up and studying,then we have a problem. If you play a lot, say soccer, basketball, tennis, etc. then I guess its kinda OK to eat as much as ya want. Rather than just playing, the best thing would be exercise! Hehe, yea. Well, go for a few rounds everyday. Need not take up too much time. Just say, 1/2 hr? Should be enough.

If you can do this, then you wont even need to control how much you eat. All you need to take care is exercise and what you eat. Yup, as humans we all have that tendency to chow down some fries and a coke. But no one stops you. Man, enjoy eating a bit, grab a can of coke if ya want. But restrict it. That's all my suggestion is.

If it was just a pile of repetition, then take it as a refresh of your memory! If not then well, you learnt something! =D.
