Should i eat out once a week on my diet?!


Question: in the last 5-6 weeks i have lost 23 pounds! I have another 30 to go! i have been really faithful with the slim fast shake for breakfast and shake for lunch, and pretty much every night i will have a 6" subway meal for dinner. Lately i have noticed a plataeu where i havnt really lost much at all in the last week or so, not even a half pound. My co worker told me that its good to once a week just eat out and have whatever you want, no matter how many points it, just go out and have a good dinner, and some drinks and that will actually help you every week, is this true?

Sure! I eat out once a week and I've lost 22 pounds.

However, don't order something that will cancel out all your hard work for the week. Get something healthy, but that's still a bit of a treat.

For example, when I go to a restaurant, instead of a burger, I get grilled chicken with brown rice and peanut sauce.

but only once or twice and dont go over the limit.

actually, once you reach a plataeu change your excersise, not your diet!!!

yes, you should definitely have a cheat day once weekly. When you diet, even even if you exercise two things will happen. You metabolism will slow, and levels of a hormone called leptin will decrease. When leptin levels are low, you body will slow down and prepare to store body fat. When you diet your body goes into panic mode and thinks it's going to starve to death. When you have a cheat day, your body reverses this process and leptin levels rise again. This causes your metabolism to increase and body fat reduction continues, instead pf plateauing.
