I'm overweight and I need a diet plan thats easy to stick with?!

Question: I'm 17 year old female, 18 in May. And I have struggled with my weight before I even know what weight was. I weight 178.5 pounds and I am finally ready to get serious about losing weight. Breakfast I normally eat whatever is easy to make with a cup of coffee and creamer. Lunch I normally have fast food (I am willing to quit that) and dinner I normally have 2 helpings of whatever junk my dad makes for dinner. All my life my parents have told me "eat everything on your plate, theres people dying in africa that would love that food" I think thats partially where I got my weight.

Is there anyone who's been where I'm at? I want to get down to 115 lbs within a year at least. Hopefully sooner. So i need to drop 63 pounds kind of quickly but healthily so it won't come back right away.

I'm pretty desperate so please help.

if you do not have access to good food at home, buy lean body breakfast. they are a complete lo-cal meal replacement. start with half a sachet. you dont need to eat anything with it.
here is what my dietician recommends - follow a practical diet. Make sure your plate has this ratio - 50% veg, 25% carb, 25% protein. eat 900 gms of veggies a day. Start your meal with a big salad or soup. have a snack every three hours. fruit (ideally berries) or soy nuts. just 2 tablespoons of soya nuts subside hunger pangs . substitute white bread and rice with brown. lose one kilo a week. that is the ideal.
Pick an exercise regime you like. buy a pedometer, and take 10,000 steps a day.

"Diets" really don't work. You need to change your eating habits (cut out soda, sugary foods, fatty foods, and junk food), eat more fruits & veggies, and exercise regularly. That works 100% of the time. There is no easy way. Diets just make money for the people selling the books. They don't work. Good luck.

Hi, you're not alone! There's a bunch of us who have been right where you are!

The first thing for you to do is focus on making healthy choices. Start with a food journal and record all of your food intake (everything!), activity, and your feelings. Believe me, that will help. Next, ask your dad if he'll make more nutritious meals. Encourage lean meat, complex carbs, veggies, fruit, and low-fat dairy products. Definitely deep-six the fast foods for lunch. If that is your only option, choose a salad with oil and vinegar dressing, but you'd be better off packing your own sandwich (turkey, lettuce, tomato, low-fat mayo, whole-wheat bread) or something like that. For breakfast choose a whole-grain cereal or oatmeal or a piece of toast with a tablespoon of peanut butter. Cut back on sugar and flour products and quit drinking soda. Good luck!

weight watchers is really good to lose and keep of weight. It's flexible and easy its about portion control and exercise, and easy to stick to because if you slip it's not the end of the world

I really think weight watchers is the best choice.
They have a plan that does not require you to write down every bite.
I lost 40lbs last year and have kept it off.
