Low carb diet plz help?!


Question: i am starting a low carb diet today just for a short time to get rid of a bit of weight since January i have not eaten or eaten very little crisps chocolate and biscuits i used to eat these item each day but now its very rare i have eaten approx 2 bags of crisps in 4 months and a bit more chocolate due to easter but not now and i would say in total 1/2 pack of rich tea biscuits in 4 months so not doing to bad trying to cut down on bread i have changed to the lowest calorie bread and from normal butter which was high in calories to flora extra light which seems to be the lowest calorie spread on the market. but i have still only lost 22lbs / or in english 1.5 stones . so i'm starting this low carb diet but just went to have a packet of oats so simple but there is 39grams of carbs is this ok or high bearing in mind for evening meal i will be having sweet potatoes pork chop and veg so dont want to waist my carbs on breakfast. please help or do you know any good sites that will help me

Congrats on the weight lose. You have done well.
did I hear you say waste your carbs on breakfast.
This is when you do have them. 1/2 a cup will fill you up,mixed with a liitle bit of protein and fruit and away you go.
Maybe you should look at that pork chop at dinner. Nice I know but ooooohhh the fat.
low carbs is ok but dont forget quality carbs keeps you full and energised.

For starters, go back to the butter but reduce how much you have. All those horrid spreads are one step from plastic in their production - disgusting stuff!! You don't mention exercise at all -- me, I'd eat the oats for breakfast with a banana and then get outside and sweep the drive or get the leaves up!

help: Diets don't work.
It's not just propoganda, you have to make permanent changes in your diet, not temporarily hard to maintain plans.
Just eat healthy and work out, it's really very easy to lose healthy amounts of weight.

You know what dont cut out completely have oats for breakfast and just cut carbs out completely after midday this works for me. So carb up in morning and protein and vegie up for the rest of day.
MUST excercise thought 30 min walk atleast a day..........

you need to have some amount of carbs otherwise u will get cravings as the body will try to find it in sweets etc. oats is a very good choice.

The atkins diet suggests you only have 20g of carbs each day.This is very hard to follow and you need lots more info so search Atkins diet.I wouln't recommend it for long term use.
