Can I build a six pack if I just excercise my abs at the gym (See Details)?!

Question: I don't have time to exercise every day, I go to the gym 4 times a week and I'm starting to do abdominal exercises, can this help me build a six pack even though I don't exercise me abs daily?

NO! If you want a noticeable sixpack
You must lose the fat that is hiding your six pack

This can help you 'build' a 6-pack, but it doesn't mean it will be visible. Everyone has ab muscles and working them out will surely make them stronger and perhaps bigger (with resistance). However, they only become visible when the fat on your stomach has gone. To get this people usually tighten their diet (fewer calories and fat) and do more cardio (to burn the fat). This is analagous to the 'cutting' period most people go through when they want to make their muscle gains more visible and get more toned.

You should keep lifting but incorporate cardio into your workout. You do not need to work your abs out everyday to get a 6 pack. A solid intensely performed routine once a week could suffice for some people. Try exercises like roman chair, bicycle crunches, leg lifts, etc.

FYI: going to the gym everyday is not necessarily a good thing (your body needs rest). Unless you are a bodybuilder, you should be able to split your routine nicely into 2-3 days lifting, maybe 1-2 days of cardio.
