What daily level of calorie intake is considered anorexic?!


Question: I'm about to start the 2-4-6-8 diet coz I weight ALOT. that is 200 calories the first day, 400 the next etc. Hence wondering - I know most answers will say this is too low - but what level would you consider to be too low?

DO NOT EVER go below 1,000 calories a day, and that's only for very petite women. Most women should not go under 1,200 calories a day. Low calorie diets DO NOT work. As one poster already said, your body will go into starvation mode. Not only will that screw up your metabolism, it'll cause your body to hang on to every last bit of body fat that you have and burn muscle instead. Not good.
