Eat protein with every meal, keep your carbs clean (vegetables, fruits and whole grains), and skip the sugar and sodas. Drink water or milk for a beverage. Start working out with sprints and heavy full body exercises. Wind sprints will knock the fat off you pretty quick. Power cleans are the king of exercises, especially for football. Every workout should be a full body workout, so do cleans and pullups, squats and benchpress, sprints and pushups. You should lose the weight, gain some explosive strength, and build the speed.

Run. Best thing to do to lose weight. Walking is really good too. Just walk everywhere you go and run alot too it will help you out with everything you mentioned.

I'm trying to get ready for football too, i weight 10 more pounds than you and im 6'2, what I'm doing is cardio, protein, weightlifting.
