Do I need to eat more calories?!

Question: I've been trying to eat healthier for about a month now, and today I actually charted out every calorie, every fat gram, etc, and I was kind of surprised that everything was so.... LOW.

I am by no means starving myself, or anything like that-- I just cut out the junk food, and am replacing the crap with healthy substitutes.

I eat smaller meals, with healthy snacks in between, but when I looked at everything for today (an average day, and I repeat, I got plenty to eat) I only ate about 1300 calories.

I work out a little bit each morning, but nothing major right now-- I'm a full time student, but when school's out, I'll be running/ellipticaling 3 times a week or so.

THUS, my questions:
do I need more calories for what I'm doing right now (light exercise, basic daily life)? if so, how many?
and how many more calories will I need when I start doing heavier exercise?

Thanks for your help, everyone!!

hey this website is really good for your question

It depends on your weight and how much you want to lose. You should join www.sparkpeople.com its 100% free, and it will tell you how many calories you need per day. It tracks what you eat and how much fat and everything is in it, it also tracks your exercise and how much calories you need for what your doing based on your weight, height and how much you want to lose.

The very minimum you need is 1,200 calories per day and 1,500 or 1,800 calories a day would be better.

Since I started to work out I was looking for a good weight loss product (I only wanted something 100% natural). I was on a diet but I felt that I needed a little "help" so I decided to try this great detoxification colon cleanse and I had fantastic results. You can check their website at
http://thin-fit.info , they give you a free trial and you only pay $4.95 shipping and handling.
