11 and put on 9 lbs!?!


Question: I am eleven and I put on 9 lbs in 3 months, does anyone know why? I haven't had any changes in my diet or anything...and the same physical activity...

okay im 14 and im just gonna say it.
puberty.
everyone will gairn/lose weight and get taller shorter and other things. nine pounds is nothing to worry about. your prob gonna hit a growth spurt in the next few months.

i gained 15 pounds when i was 11.
i got up to 100 pounds.
then i shot up 4 inches.
so i was 5ft2 and 100 pounds.
trust me darling, youll be fine

you had to have eaten something that made you gain!
it just doesnt magically appear on you!

At this age (around/entering puberty) you might have periods of aceclerated weight gain. Your body is putting more fat on your hips (if you're a girl) etc. as you grow into a more mature, adult figure or body shape. It does not mean you're getting fat, it's something that happens to pretty much all people. Getting 30 minutes of cardio exercise (exercise that gets your heart pumping, like biking or running) most days a week, and eating a balanced diet will keep you healthy.

u probably did something and u did not realize it or u ate something not part of ur diet.

so its normal ur probably goin therew a groth spurt

like the 3rd answer your getting older and eventually you will get taller to where what you gained will even out. your body knows what its doing. you just don't know what its doing is the thing. lol

your eleven, dont even worry about your weight (unless your are extrememly obese) but you should be out playing with your friends and doing all kinds of fun stuff while you still can. You have plenty of time to worry about your weight, dont even worry about it now! 9 lbs is nothing, i think i gain that a week!

your still young you can eat everything,. but if you are in a diet,. just make sure that you don't eat too much carbohydrates,. and you have your balance meal with protein,. well eating is the best way in life,,,.
