13 years old and i want abs quick!!!!?!


Question: i'm a girl, i am 5'7, and i weigh 120. i've gained a lot of muscle in my legs and arms from cross country, basketball and lacrosse. none of those sports work my abs! i'm skinny but my stomach isnt as flat as i would like.

i need a quick easy way to gain abs.

please do not say crunches or sit up ,etc. it doesnt work. trust me i know.

Why do you say that crunches dont work?
how many of them are you doing?
I do at least 700 a day.

You shouldn't push yourself to the limits at that young of an age. Limit yourself and pace yourself. After you become older (around 16-21) you start pushing yourself a little more slowly. Starting out fast will only hurt you and may cause long-term pain.

do pilates abs... :| It is painful and a slow excersice but it works.

I'm 13 too, and i'm only 5'0 but thats only cas it runs in my family.
welll actually crunches and sit ups do work.
you just have to do a lot.
and run tooo, it tones your whole body.
cas i have abs lol.

You need some sort of ab roller.

do one hundred push ups a day, i do that, and then i do 50 crunchs, 10 leg ups, and ye..or just talk to someone you know who has good abs.

your almost too young to start working out and dieting, 120 5'7 sounds very fit

if you don't have a lot of body fat, then sure you'll see abs by doing crunches, sit ups, ab machines etc...but I don't recommend doing those, as you'll build muscle......then when you gain weight you'll cover up that muscle and make your stomach stick out like Hulk Hogan, diet and running/biking/cycling etc.. is best

it's a matter of building the muscle, burning the fat off it, so you can see it

who wants abs at 13? wow you kids are growing up too fast

btw....if you were a starved kid in a poor country you would see abs, everyone has them, but you have to burn that fat off them to see em..........and fat on your abs(hips as a girl) is the last place you'll see it go away................if your older like me, cross country, dieting and running is a good way to see abs....stick to it

well sit ups or crunches work very well, you may not have givin it enough time. you can also try flexing your abs and holding it as long as you can many times during your day. you can do that type of excersise anywhere, sitting down, walking, or even sitting on the couch watching tv. try it. good luck

I like this dvd series called "10 minute solutions" I think you can find them at wal-mart for about $10... they're easy, fun, and also, if you're in a "crunch" (pun intended) for time, you can just do one 10 minute work-out, or if you want a longer workout, it allows you to select several work-outs to do in a row. They're great! I really like the yoga and pilates ones...

i think you dont need to worry about that stuff my gosh your 13! stay young dont worry about that......but i do have to bust you bubble set ups and crunches do work you just have to do a ton of reps
