I've had problems with eating after hours too and I'm in the process of losing a little weight again so here are a couple ideas that I have used. I hope that they can help you.

1) start a food journal: start writing down everything that you eat everyday and at what time, it's a good way to keep yourself in line and it helps even more if you get a friend or family member to show it to everyday so that you're accountable.

2) I heard a while ago and it's turning out to be true for me that you lose weight easier if you don't eat after 7 pm. It gives your body time to digest so that you burn fat while you sleep you also feel a lot better in the morning.

and last, eat your meals slowly, it gives your brain enough time to get the message that you're full and you enjoy your food without fooling yourself into thinking that you need more

any practice becomes a habit after two weeks, so stick with it and it will get easier and easier, I promise

Just dont do it. I get urges to eat late at night, but rather than act on them, I just ignore them and push them off until I wake up the next day. Id suggest going to sleep earlier, that way, you dont have to deal with the urges at all.

Hmm late night eating, it sounds like you are self soothing yourself. Have to tried reading at night? or when you get the craving to munch, have something healthly on had? Or keep a journal and ask yourself why are you hungry or what am i tring to fullfill? My healthy late nighter is ceral, I get to crunch, its healthy and I feel full.

this is a really hard habit to break but is possible. try writing down everything you eat in the day, and ow much, at night you'll see everything and think, maybe i don't want anything, or after 7pm drink tea, plain, it kind of sucks but it keeps your mouth busy and wards way craving, you can also brush your teeth after dinner, or keep chewing gum until you go to sleep, again its a habit so it will be hard to break but will power is like a muscle, the more you practice not eating at night, the stonger you're resistance will be and the easier it will be to skip the extra bowl of ice cream, good luck

Hi, I am not sure how U feel about a pill but I went to the doc and he prescribed me phentermine, 37.5 mg. I lost over 40 pounds in 4-5 months. Could of been more but I done no exercise. The 1 week I lost 12 pounds alone. I weighed in at 150 or so and now I only weigh 107. So that pill is amazing. It really curves your urges to eat and when U do eat, trust me it is VERY small portions!!! That's if U are willing to go to the doc and take a pill every mor, around 6am no later than 8am. I hope this helps some, GOOD LUCK TO U...

You need to eat dinner earlier like around 6pm. Then be done, if you want a snack eat a piece of fruit. If you want food, drink water or eat a piece of gum. Put a picture of a person you want to look like on the fridge so when you want to open it to eat something you will see it.

Can i suggest from past experience that you make it like a game, its the calories game. know how much you have eaten and how much your allowed ( to fit into your calorie budget) come night time. if you go over your limit, you have to exercise it out or let less the following day which. if you make it like a game you can actually stick to you plans and have fun with it. snack throughout the day but level over some extra calories so you can have a little more at night right before bed. then go to bed and dont get back up. sleep tight and wake up hungry in the morning, cause breakfast is very important.
