Any training that you work out your abs. Do this no more than 3-4 times a week; space it out.
And this'd only work if you couple it with cardio. Cardio, cardio, cardio! It will help melt extra fat all over your body. And you will eventually look toned up. You must do about an hour of cardio every day. If that is not easy to do because you are too out of shape (easily out of breath), then work up to it. Maybe a half hour ever day, and build from there?

And don't forget to eat right. And to portion control your meals. If you always overstuff yourself evey time you eat, you will defeat the good physical work you do for your body.

Plus, if you would like good sources to help get you going on multiple moves to do for your ab workouts, then choose a women's fitness magazine from your local grocery store that looks like it has good tips, or you can always look into cheap dvd's that work out the abs.
I have a couple ab workout dvds myself. And I've bought a bunch of fitness magazines over the years where I've cut out good workouts for abs and other areas for the body, and put and organized them into a binder. A great source I've made for myself.

Good luck!!

I'm trying sit ups and generally just eating healthier and so far i just feel hungry. Absolutely starved at the moment

swimming or sit ups or both

dont eat carbs after 3pm

sit ups.. low fat and low carbo and hi protein diet! that should work..

reduce ur food intake sometimes. its worked 4 me! WOO!! of course i did some sit ups

i try everything but comes off everything else but not my stomach lol...

A mix of cardio and core exercises

So say go for a run for half an hour
and then come back, stretch and do 100 or so sit ups

Eat low fat foods
Drink lots of water

Sit ups and horizontal knee crunches

sit ups. they will help 'tone' your tummy and improve the muscles. also if there is any fat, eat healthy (but don't not eat anything!)

situps will make your stomach stronger, but they may not make your stomach flatter. If you want to lose the layer of flab on the outside of your muscles you need to train. Cardio burns fat the best, so try running or swimming or climbing on a machine at the gym. Lifting weights can help too because your increase in muscle will increase your metabolism. To speed up the process watch what you eat. Eat real food, and lots of veggies and fruits. Don't touch crappy processed fast foods for awhile. Good luck.

Instead of eating 3 big meals a day, eat 5-6 small meals a day to keep your metabolism consistent. I would try jogging. That is honestly the best way. Crunches don't work as well. an ab lounge is good, they aren't too expensive and they work really good. just as long as your not sitting around eating a box of ho-hos (lol), you shouldn't have to "diet" because.. since when do those work anyways.. lol.

hope this helped you..
good luck

avoid junk food ..go for walk s\and do sit ups

Pilates. It is the most fantastic way of working those stomach muscles. I've had 2 c-sections, and had given up hope, but a few months of pilates classes and I'm really seeing a difference. And it's harder work than it seems!

lose overall body fat. There IS NO SUCH THING AS SPOT REDUCTION. You cant just do sit ups and lose belly fat. You need to burn it of with proper dieting and exercise.

You can't do spot exercise. You need to reduce overall body fat ( else you'll have muscles under the subcutaneous fat on your belly ) and might also have to reduce visceral fat ( inside your abdomen ). Cardio exercise is the way to do both, especially the latter although reducing fat in your diet will help if combined with the exercise.

Katana...

Crunches work best-sit ups are bad for you. Do at least 50 morning and night. Depending on your age, you should start to see results within a week or so. Diet is important. Cut out fried and fatty foods, eat only moderate amounts of sugar (if necessary).

The best way to get lean, toned abs and to lose weight around your waist is to follow a program that consists of healthy eating, aerobic exercise, and strength training. This type of program will help you burn calories and build lean muscle mass.

There are a lot of great ab exercises you can do, but skip the sit ups as they can be hard on the lower back and don't work the abs as effectively as other ab exercises.

Check out http://www.functional-fitness-facts.com/... for tips on getting a solid set of abs and for examples of different ab exercise you can do.

diet
working out in general ,that will help to lose fat overall and build muscle.*muscles use calories even when they're not in use*
ab machines at the gym are really good..
cardio very important..choose an activity you like, walking ,swimming, running, etc.
read into weight training (not just for guys) and cardio to make sure your doing them correctly

Take up running, it will burn calories and you will shed body fat from all over and in time your tum.
