What are the essential vitamins you should take everyday?!


Question: I take a multivitamin and fish oil. I hear some people take calcium , b-12, all this other stuff. I want to know what you should take everday

Going by your adivtar im guessing your a male. One A Day has a multi vitamin for males. It has everything you need and the amounts you need. Fish Oil is very good for you also along with Wed Wine Extract or Grape Seed Oil because of the anioxidents in them.

Just eat your vegatables and the vitamins should get in your body without expensive pills.

If your taking a multi-vitamin........ all your daily essitial vitamins are in there.

a multi vitamin is good take some vitamine a and d if you don't drink much milk. calcium is good too

if your taking more than multivitamins, chances are your old or have a terrible diet. learn2eat

Take 5000 units of Vit. C everyday. Throw away all the others. Your energy will go crazy.

The multivitamin is the best bet. When people try to pick and choose vitamins to take, they run a serious risk of getting too MUCH of a vitamin - yes, that is possible. Also, some vitamins need to remain in balance with others, so the multivitamin is the best bet. As for fish oil - it is probably better to just sprinkle flaxseed on your food to get the Omegas - it is best to get your nutrients from foods rather than supplements, where possible.

What your taking sounds fine, you don't have to add too many more vitamins to your diet.

Multiple B's and defiantly your calcium and D.. keep your bones happy and keep that immune system fit... maybe add some C in there and since your a male, watch your Zinc intake but don't neglect it

2 above me rookem is right you can take to much of a vitaman, remember your body has to filter everything you put in it.. dont want to over use one of your filters do ya? you only get 3 ^_^

For basic health and nutrition, take one multivitamin and one calcium supplement a day. Any other nutrients you should be able to get from your diet.

Fish oil is good for your joints, but not necessary unless you have underlying health issues.

calcium vitamin c b and g you need carbs (believe it or not) jus eat some fruit and cereal and youll be fine

Not exactly vitamins, but red onions and red wine are great in the diet as they contain lots of flavanols and anti-oxidants.

Iron is an important mineral, you can get that from red meat - vegetarians sometimes suffer from a lack of this and that's why they may feel tired with no energy all the time as red blood cells need iron to transport oxygen effectively around the body, deficiency in this mineral may cause anaemia.

Calcium you can get from milk and dairy products, it's essential for healthy teeth and bones.
