Avon Walk for Breast Cancer 39 miles diet help??!
Question: I am doing the avon walk which is 39 miles in 2 days this weekend. I have been training with 5 miles a day and long 12-15 mile walks on the weekend so I feel pretty prepared. My question is what should I eat these next few days in preparation for the walk. I am not an athlete and have never done anything like this before so any advice would be great.
Also I did raise over $3000 for breast cancer, and I know that that is what it is really about, but I am totally looking forward to this physical challenge too. Thanks.

Eat a little more carbohydrates than normal and focus on hydrating your body. You do not have to gorge yourself.
Reduce your activity to a minimum. All of your training is in the bank. Any more now will not really help.
Eat a large meal the morning of the event consisting of complex carbohydrates about 2-3 hours before start. Pancakes and juice for example. Drink early and often to stay hydrated.
Good luck.
