About how long does it take to get cut?!

Question: I have been getting back into shape again the past 3 months, I've lost 23 pounds and have gained a lot of upper body strength.

When I'm lifting If I'm near a mirror I can see the cut in my shoulders, bicepts, and tricepts but unless I'm lifting very heavy weights I cannot really see the cut like I do at the gym

I am 6'2 currently at 270lbs, I started at 293. The 270 might throw you off, I am not a big round fat person, I have big legs and am just beefy all around for the most part. My arms are very hard from the weight lifting and I look like I'm in pretty good shape from the outside (Just gotta lose the little bit of tummy I have left.)

Anyways my question is this, about how long will it take to get my chest and arms cut? I'm not talking carved out of stone I know that takes years and years but about how long until I can see a cut without having to flex or lift a heavy weight?

Thanks as always,

Dom.

Cut is more about body fat loss than it is about muscle growth. If you start cutting carbs and working cardio into your routine, you may lose a bit of muscle, but you'll also lose that layer of fat that's hiding the buff cut you're looking for.

What you see at the gym is "pump." From what I understand, it has to do with blood remaining in the muscle tissue, making it appear larger. Think of it as the muscle's version of an erection.
