2 pounds a week if you don't cheat too much, and you're way overweight.

BTW, 1/2 mile slow jog really not gonna do much for your weight loss program. But, better than nothing.

From what I have learned crash dieting is never good. the weight usually doesnt stay off. The best way to lose is the old fashion way. Exersise, good diet, and rest. Depending on your height and weight right now 30 pounds will come off different for everyone. See your doctor for the best advice.

not fast and you'll gain it all back the second you pick up any food.

you'll lose core body weight and when you gain it back you'll probably gain back more than 30lbs and it wont matter what you eat even if you eat healthy after the crash diet. your body always gains back CORE weight. so... you'll be doing more harm than good.

It depends on a lot of physiological details like metabolism, how much muscle you have, gender, age, etc. You are not doing yourself any favors crash dieting, though. Making lifestyle changes and being active throughout the day works better and the results last longer. Crash diets tend to make people tired and cranky and cause binge eating and exercise burnout. Cardio exercise is the best way to lose weight with exercise, so your pushups and situps are not going to help much by themselves.

i was 5'6 and weighed 130 pounds three years ago. coming to the states i gained 50 pounds in a span of 3 years. It was really bad and I knew the ONLy best way to lose weight is eating healthy (for me is eating korean food because their diet mostly consist of vegetables ) cutting out soda and coffee, drinking water, and working out. I read about the master cleanse diet after beyonce lost 20 pounds additional weight for her role in dream girls. I did it and lost 20 pounds in 10 days. a girl below lost 15 pounds in 7 days. Im not going to lie you reallly need to be motivated to do that. after that if you eat healthy like veggies, fish, and fruits, workout 5 days a week for 3 hours (mind you varying your workout...you can rent lots of exercise dvds if you don't want to join the gym), and cut out coffee and soda...you should lose up to 10 pounds a month or even more! good luck.
