Do I need to loose weight? 10 points to best answer!?!


Question: I'm 12 years old. I'm 5'3 and around 115 pounds. My waist to hip ratio of 0.94 and my body fat is 30.61%. My friends say I eat alot of food but I think I eat average.

Today I had:

Lunch-3 fruit roll ups, 2 small 90 calories oreos, 2 slices of pizza

Snack: 7 chocolate chip cookies with milk,

Dinner- a bowl of chips

Do I need to lose weight? Answer all these questions and I'll give you 10 points.

I ABSOLUTELY! do not think you need to lose weight. I think your friends are just jealous because their parents won't let them eat what they want. You don't eat a lot. You know what? How about this, try to eat a little bit more healthier foods. Like strawberries, grapes, carrots, and wholesome foods like...oh, here's on that a lot of people like. STEAK! Yum. Anyway, just try that and if you still want to prove to your friends that you don't eat a lot, try running around at recess. Playing basketball. Here's what I do. My friend and I get a basketball or just any kind of ball, go into the field and through the ball to each other while walking and asking weird questions. It is a lot of fun. =) So, just try that and another reason why you weigh 115 is because your tall. I'm tall too so, yeah. =) Hope I helped.

No hun, you are not overweight, although your BMI is high meaning for your body weight, there is more fat, probably because of your diet. I do suggest eating much healthier, wholesome foods. As much as I love chips, oreos, pizza, and fruit roll-ups, those calories go straight to my thighs. I suggest eating more rounded meals (chicken, potato, vegetable) salads, fruits, cereals, etc. Talk to your parent/guardian about your meal selection and choices, I am sure they would love to accommodate your needs if it helps you live a healthier lifestyle. No you dont need to lose weight at this point but your nutrition intake is terrible. You are not eating a healthy diet and if you continue you will probably be overweight in the future. If you start changing your eating habits now and curb the fat intake you will be a healthier young adult.

you aren't overweight but i do think you overeat and could be on your way to becoming overweight.
just eat slightly less that what you eat now, and more of the meal than the snack!

jeez i eat the same way. i think im 110?? well yeah i think I need to lose weight but all i wanna lose is like 5-10 pounds. i think you should go down 15 pounds to be like flat bellied. i dont wanna be rude saying that u need to lose weight. but i think we both do. lol. ur friends are rude to say you eat a lot of food. friends are supposed to say "no way! ur super skinny!" lol. my friends do. what do you mean by ALL THESE QUESTIONS? i thought there was just onee?? well hope i helped.

oh but ur definetly not eating HEALTHY (neither am i) lol.

No you need to eat a more balanced diet.
Since when are fried slices of potato dinner?
Where are the green veg,t he orange veg, any veg?
Your 12 if you carry on like this your main concern won't be being overweight or underweight, but being malnourished.

One other point for anyone over 30years old. Can you recall being 12 and even knowing what you BMI was?
