Help, will i be toned before summer?!
Question: Okay so, I'm 15 (16, the end of June) 140 pounds, 5'6.
I started to go to the gym with my Mom, starting of January(this year)
I go on the elliptical for 45 minutes, after i do some light lifting for 5-10 minutes. I do this 3-4 times a week, and sometimes on Thursday i go to yoga at the gym. AND, on weekdays i walk home from school and its about a 35 minute walk.
I drink alot of milk, water, V8, and Green Tea(yum) I hate pop so that's not a problem. I eat salads almost everyday with tuna, cottage cheese or chicken in it, i eat alot of fruits, lean meat, and veggies. I have special K for breakfast before i go to school because it's a quick breakfast. I cut all the bad stuff out. I never have white bread i always eat whole wheat.
So, will i be toned before summer? I work really hard, and i just want to look good in a bikini this summer! :(

Yes you will, it sounds like you eat very healthy and that is important. Good on you :)
Keep up the good work and you'll be having that beach body in time (;
well...since you asked this same question before, I'll give the same answer as before:
Have you started seeing results yet (since it's been ~3 mo)? That is the best way to gauge...if you are seeing results then you have a better chance of being tone by summer than if you're not seeing any. I recommend taking pictures of yourself in the bikini 1/mo and also getting your body fat % checked by a trainer 1/mo (use the same one each time). Then you can track your progress.
To help become tone you need to mix up your workouts and do more lifting/resistance training. Resistance training is the most effective way to burn fat and change body shape. I'd increase this to at least 30 min/workout. Stick with light weights/resistance bands and go high reps. Ensure you mix your body parts around (i.e. upperbody one day, lower body the next).
Also, mix up your cardio. Try running instead (~20-30 min) or 30 min. on the stair master. If it's nice outside do some sprints and such.
Good luck...sounds like you're off to a good start.
