I too have the same problem. I have such a desire to just get up and run, but I can't. Every time I attempt to just jog, my heart goes into racing mode, my lungs begin to hurt, and I feel like I am going to hyperventilate. I am 25 and weight 145; now I know I am not thin, but I am not huge...

I've gone to the doctor and have had many, many tests done. The doctor told me that I have activity endured asthma. She then prescribed me with an asthma inhaler, which only made my heart race even more. At a follow up appointment, she told me that the best way to treat the heavy breathing and heart racing was by conditioning my body. The doctor said my symptoms would eventually reduce as I worked to fight them...meaning just keep running at push myself just a little more each time.

I'd just see if you can build it up over time. If you find your can't do any more after a few weeks, go and see your doctor. Also, maybe try to jog instead of run?

don't lie... you're huge.

you should start doing other exercises aswell oh yeah and just keep goign steadily

I feel the same way here in high altitude. I am from Florida, but here in New Mexico I get that burning sensation in my lungs and throat. After a while it gets easier and less painful.

if you are worried about it i would see a dr. cause there could be reasons why you cant run longer. i have a problem that i my heart rate is extremly high which makes it hard to run, even when i am at or below my ideal weight. so until then i would just gradually increase what you are doing. walk and run alternitly. eventually you will build up stamina.

dont run..just brisk walk an hour a day and try to incorporate other interesting ways of working out such as yoga and dance..make the journey towards a fitter you a colorful one..
