Tone my stomach + get fitter?!


Question: I am 13, short (i actually am dont say your not jeez), have a bit of a belly, normal legs and I have asthma. I want to get fitter and cross country is coming up in 2 weeks at school and we have a treadmill so what excercise routine should I do everyday? I also bikeride alot.

You are 13 years old, I don't want to demean you but your body is only just adapting. You are growing into a woman, every woman has a bit of a tummy. It is just how we were designed.

You want to get fitter just follow the rules of nutrition:
Exercise 30 mins 3 times a week.
Daily intake:
5 bread/cereal
4 vegetable
3 fruit
2 dairy
1 lean meats or meat products

While it is important to keep your body healthy it is also very important to keep your mind healthy. Never EVER give in to "ideal" body image because those people are not healthy. Look up to women like Marie Curie, Ani Difranco, Scarlett Johanson, Kaz Cooke. You deserve a healthy mind and a healthy body, don't believe what any magazine tells you.

OMG I am 13 and short too... but I have no belly and I'll give you my trick!!
Everybody thinks to loose weight you have to go to the gym and workout till you sweat like a pig, well you dont..
During gym ours really concentrate on your cardio...
Treadmill is a great idea, but be careful since you have asthma.
Maybe do it for 20 minutes on a medium speed.
But here is my trick, I do this when I wake up, after school, and after supper. You do this routine three times a day and you will be toned in no time. The secret is......................................
YOGA. I came from being 120 pounds to 100 in only 4 weeks.

There is a massive misconception in the fitness industry that you need to do situps and crunches in order to get a toned set of abs.

It is wrong.

I think the reason this misconception is so widely spread is because it allows the big fitness corporations to sell products to women who think that the regular abs exercises don
