Answers: at least 30 min. a day to maintain a healthy weight
30 - 40 minutes is a great goal to aim for.
about 30 minutes of cardio and then other stuff as well like stretching and sit ups, etc.
i heard we need around 30 minutes of physical activity
That's not a simple question to answer. Let's break it down:
The minimum to maintain your current level of health is 20 minutes of cardio 3 times a week.
If you want to get or stay trim, you're better off walking for 30-60 minutes every day. The good news is you don't have to do it all at once. Even a 10-minute walk has a positive effect, so if you can sneak in six 10-minute brisk walks, GREAT!!!
If you have a family history of heart disease, or if you have other risk factors like high cholesterol, high blood pressure, overweight, etc., you should really do walking/cardio and/or strength training for at least 30 minutes a day 6 days a week. The best regimen is a combination of walking/cardio and strength training where you alternate days (Strength training on Monday, walking/cardio on Tuesday, back to strength training on Wednesday, and so on and so forth).
