There IS a secret. It's your posture.
During pregnancy, the way you stand changes, so that you can carry the pregnancy more comfortably. After the baby's born, the new postural habit is difficult to 'unlearn' (you aren't aware of it, and you've got other priorities!).
The altered posture prevents the muscles in your lower abdomen from working effectively when you move your torso about. They aren't being trained by any of the movements that allow the rest of your torso to 'shape up'. This is why a 'baby belly' can be very difficult to shift.
Situps and crunches won't help, until you learn to adapt your posture and allow the disadvantaged muscles to be active again.
A Pilates class can teach you how to 'engage' the abdominal muscles that hav been affected by your change of posture. An exercise called the 'pelvic tilt' will allow your lower abdominal muscles to be active during all of your daily activities, so that they are being trained all the time.
Doing it during other 'core' exercises will make them more effective as well.
what diet did you do to lose the weight?
Try vanishing cream
yoga..do daily 4 an hour followed by 1 hr brisk walking
hi, i hate working out alot. but i do crunches while lieing on my bed at night just before i go to sleep. you could do them on the floor to. 50 to 70 a night well 3 nights a week. we never stick to plans we set ourselfs, but i love my tummy so i.ll work on it. also cut down on carbs, dont eat after 8pm just drink plenty of water it realy will be worth it and it does work. good luck xxxxxxx
