On a treadmill, is it dangerous for your heart rate to be too high?!
Question: I'm a 26yr male, my heart rate gets up to about 185, i was just concerned, because i don't want to push it too much and have an injury or something.

The formula for maximum heart rate is 200-{age}. At 26, your heart rate shouldn't go above 184 bpm. Most commercial heart rate monitors have a margin of error, so 185 is okay if you're peaking. Just make sure you don't spend too long in that zone.
Don't listen to experts who say that you need to have a certain heart rate, it's BS. Do the 'talk test' that's if you are able to hold a conversation while you are running then you are fine.
invest into a heart monitor -- 185 sound really high - check out this link
Go to the youonadiet.com website. Dr. Oz gives you a formula for figuring this out. But it sounds ok to me because when I figured his formula out for me, I am 46yrs old and my heart rate should be at least 140.. So 185 at your age is probably ok. Check it out.
