Is dry heaving normal after running?!

Question: I just started running on the treadmill and after I did a good 20 mins of running and walking when I got off I felt fine but then when I went in to take a shower i felt nauseated and ran to the toilet and started dry heaving but noting would come out. Is this a common thing with new runners? I never ran before like this. I feel better now.

You were most likely dehydrated. Make sure you drink water and/or sports drinks when exercising!

hmmm dont think that is normal....but im not a big jogger. when i do go jogging i sometimes feel nauseous after, but its because of stomach acid. good luck. hope you figure it out. dont stop exercising! that is the one thing that will never hurt you!

Yes, this is easily solved. Drink water prior to exercise, during exercise, and after (rehydration.) Problem solved. :)

No it isn't normal. Is there any chance you could be pregnant?

I think you should see a doctor and get a health check up, it might be that you were just pushing yourself too hard but it isn't normal to have such an extreme reaction to physical exhertion and you really need to get checked out to ensure you're healthy as it could be a sign of an underlying condition.

It might be (probably?) that you just pushed yourself a little bit too hard, but always put your health first and get it checked out anyway!
Good luck!

No, not normal. Sounds like you are pushing yourself a bit to hard. You should make sure that you are cooling down properly so your heart has time to slowly return to normal beating. Also, make sure you are getting enough water.
