Can you help me fix my work out plan?!

Question: I have just recently started lifting weights at the gym and have everything split between two workouts. I get to the gym about 3-4 times a week, rotating the workouts every other visit. Day one I do chest, shoulders and triceps (the Pushes). Day two I do legs, biceps and back (the pulls). This was not a random workout, it was what I heard I should do, but someone recently told me that it was not a good idea. I need to know if this isn't a good way to gain muscle and if it's not, can anyone help me out or give me a better work out. Thanks a lot.

I'd like to help, but you haven't given very much information.

I need to know, what weight you are lifting, as a % of your bodyweight, and the number of reps, and sets,
And alswo what your goals are.

One immediate problem is that there isn't any lower body work. If gaining muscle is your goal, it is CRUCIAL to be doing lower body work, ie getting those quads and hamstrings firing. Working those out are what is going to stimulate muscle growth.
And if you are working your upper back, but not your lower back, and glutes, very soon you are going to get some major lower back pain!

So detail what you are doing, specifically, and then maybe I can help you fix your current workout plan.

ITS A GOOD IDEA
