Do you think this is fat?!


Question: Okay I know I am young for thinking about this but I am about to start gymnastics.So anyway I am 11 My height is about 4 6 and I weigh 97.
Also if you have any diets that dont need pills please post that.

You are 11 years old and your body is still growing and developing; a diet is not a good idea. You sound like your weight is just fine but if you are really concerned then I would suggest concentrating on eating healthy as opposed to dieting which is not a good idea at this stage in your life. Avoid foods made with refined white flour and foods that have trans-fats in them. Anything that says hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated contains trans-fats. Also avoid foods with sugar in them as well as fast food and fried foods such as french fries. Concentrate on eating lots of fruits and veges, drinking lots of milk(most girls your age don't drink enough milk and end up having weakened bones and teeth), eating low-fat cheeses and yogurt and whole grains such as whole wheat bread, brown rice, whole wheat pasta and cereals made from whole grains, lean meats like chicken(minus the skin) beef and pork and fish. If you like them, beans are a great source of vegetable protein and contain fiber. Skip the soda which contains loads of sugar and even the sugar free versions aren't good for you because they still contain phosphates which leach calcium from your teeth and bones. Drinking lots of water also will help keep your skin clearer and keep you feeling better. And lastly, fruit juices are okay in small amounts but the whole fruit is much better for you.

dont diet.. just eat balanced meals. your not overweight at all. just average!!! dont diet

well i am 15 1/2 (i turn 16 in may) well you sound about right for your weight i would say wake up early on sat around 5 am. and (strech) misspelled i know. but yeah do it DONT EAT you'll cramp up and it'll hurt so jog about 2 miles the first day do sit up's push up's well yeah thats all i got so yeah sorry but if you REALLY want to get in shape JUST BELIVE IN YOUR SELF k well have a good night!

your not over weight. Make sure you eat cause gymnastics burns lots of calories.

Have your mom take you to the doctor to discuss a healthy way of eating so that you won't gain too much, but will keep you healthy as an Athlete.

NO you are not fat, your body temporarily stores fat to use during puberty. That is normal, and gymnastics is a good sport to be fit and healthy.
