I'm very discouraged I lost 27 lbs and I've been working out for a littl!

27 pounds is a lot of weight to lose over 4 months! You are doing great - just keep exercising 4 more months and you'll have lost 60 pounds!
Losing weight slowly through execise is far more effective and long lasting than losing it through crash diets (never do that - they always make you fatter than ever).

Lifting weights will actually make you gain weight. As you build muscle you do burn fat, however this trade off leads to increased weight.

This is because muscle weighs more than fat.

27 pounds is a remarkable weight loss, you should be proud.
