Alot of it yes, I was reading something, and some of these TALL actresses weigh a bag of flour, I'm not kidding you.. I could see a vunreble teenager wanting to be just like them!

If you lived in a small community with no access to the outside world I am sure there would be no eating disorders or worrying about what you looked like.

yes,by all means...

Yes, but also partly parents! Teach your daughters young, tell them the difference between reality and fake. Teach them that having a brain is more important than having the "perfect body." Get involved in your children's hobbies and always be there to give advice.

The media will exploit anyone and anything if it turns a profit for the multinationals; we can not change that (any time soon anyway.) What we can do is educate our daughter/sons to believe nothing of what they see in the media, only half of what they hear and trust the morals and ethics that were ingrained in them in their adolescence.

i wont blame them.... todays youth eating disorders are caused by the environment they live in, if they are raised with proper understanding and self confidence they wont have any disorders, im not blaming the media because they are not telling people to be like this and be like that. well its just that people have the wrong perception of things...

I blame it on the fact that people say things like "fat A**" to girls who are not at all thick let alone "fat". Teenage boys usually being the worst offenders - and one comment can haunt a person for a long time...and then it distorts all other forms of self perception.

People are cruel - they always have been.
And I blame the fact that animals -including this one- always prey upon a weakness. So those folks who seek approval become the weak - and pay a price for it....

Nah, I don't like the media - but I don't like them for the blantant age-ism far more than I do for putting attractive girls on pages and screens....

Ageism is the last acceptable prejudice in America.....
And unless you want to feel like a useless, lonely old soul, do everything you can to fight it.

Since I started to work out I was looking for a good weight loss product (I only wanted something 100% natural). I was on a diet but I felt that I needed a little "help" so I decided to try this great detoxification colon cleanse and I had fantastic results. You can check their website at
