does it make much difference to how many calories id be burning?
also ive read that too much low intensity cardio can make you gain weight?
that confuses me.haha

No such thing as "too much cardio" in my opinion. Unless you're obsessed with running and are doing a marathon a day!
Your stated cardio looks right in line....maybe even a little light if it's low intensity. (and I've never heard of cardio causing weight gain, unless you're gaining muscle mass in the quads and/or hams)
You might want to shake up your cardio a little and try HIIT (high intensity interval training) for awhile and see how you like it and how your body reacts. Set your treadmill on "manual" and walk at about 3.7 mph with a 1.0 incline for the first 2 mins. Then bump it up to 3.9 with a 2.0 incline for 2 mins. Then lower the incline back to 0 and increase the speed to 6.0 mph....the speed of jogging for 2 mins. Then, from 6mins to 8 mins, go back down to walking at 3.7 at a 1.0 incline for 2 mins "rest", and repeat the process. You can play with the numbers, depending on your level of fitness, but I think you'll find that #!) your cardio is now more exciting rather than mundane and #2) you're burning off a ton more body fat than just by walking at a steady pace.
Hope it works for you. It should!

They say 30 mintues a day of exercise is good....
an hour 5 times a day is fine I think but take it easy.
its good that your fit but you dont want to over do it.
If your body is use to you doing that much excerise for a while (like 6 months - years) then keep doing that your doing!

Wow! Although its good for your heart rate, after a while your body is going to adjust to getting this amount of cardio, so when you do slow down so will your metablism. Also your body gets used to the same exercise, it becomes a daily routine and you stop seeing the results you did in the begining.

The other thing is that without weight training in between you are actually losing muscle. Muscle is burned and replaced throughout the day - you just want to make sure you replace at least as much muscle as you burn.

I would try to switch it up, get some weights involved and try different types of cardio. While too much walking isn't a bad thing, it's all about what your goal is.

Hope that helped :)
