I look like i weigh about 135, but the scale says that I weigh 150!?!

Question: Could this be muscle weight? because i do a lot of cardio and eat pretty good. So im thinking that it could be muscle weight?

totally. if you're toned, dont worry about the scale. its just a number. muscle is heavier than fat, yet fat takes up more space.

and, dont forget that being a woman you will have fluxuations in your weight just due to hormones. many girls gain around "that time of the month" due to water weight. and, if you've been eating a lot of sodium (chinese food, sodas, salt your food a lot), that will cause you to retain water as well. i know that over the course of a few days i can fluxuate about 10 pounds, just due to water weight.

oh, and dont forget to take boobs into account. if you're blessed, then those puppies can weigh a few pounds each, and thats pretty much pure fat.

It could be muscle weight. Some women are naturally well muscled(an unusually high number in fact).

Absolutely. My brother looks thin but he has a lot of lean, dense muscle from playing tennis so he weighs a lot more than he looks, too. If you are honest with yourself and you know you eat and exercise right, don't worry about what you weigh at all. Look in the mirror instead of the scale! =)

Probably. Muscle weighs more than fat. (:

check your scales,lol
it could well be muscle, remember muscle weighs more than fat. you sound like your very fit so theres no need to worry
a trip to your doctor could always put your mind at rest

It's probably muscle weight.
The scale isn't always accurate though; try going by inches.

Yea it's muscle weight.Muscle weighs more than fat, I'm the same way,I weigh more than I look, but I don't obsess over the scale and how much I weigh, as long as I know that I'm healthy and have good proportion.

i know what you mean. don'te worry, everyone says that i look like i am 115 lbs, but really, i am about 135. and i am 5' 1"
and i am 15 years old. it's just muscle weight becuase i used to be a vigorous swimmer.

I wouldn't concern myself with what the scale says. As long as you are happy with how your body looks, that is the most important thing.

Because muscle weighs more than fat, some people get upset when they step on the scale and see that they've gained weight, but if that additional weight is from lean muscle mass your body is actually going to look better. The mirror is the best way to determine if you are in good shape, not the scale.
