Hey Sarah,

I use a really good weight training and healthy diet program called truth about abs.

I bought the program from the recommendation at http://www.TruthAboutAbsBlog.com for $39

This was the best $39 I have ever spent. He gives you detailed workouts for you to follow, and a great diet plan. Overall this was a great investment in myself.

Sounds like this could be just what you need

Anyway I hope this helps.

Love Samantha

They healthy way is not to do any of those short term diets and change your lifestyle completely around. Don't starve yourself and start by walking half an our a day then work your way up to different workouts.

In terms of popularity, it would prolly be (in no particular order):
South Beach
Weight Watchers
Slimfast
Atkins
Nutrisystem
Ornish
The G. I Diet
The Zone
The ABS DIET (Men's health)
and... whatever's on TV this week.

In terms of effectiveness, your best approach is actually eating healthy... Weight Watchers, the G. I. Diet, and South Beach are probably best for this, and Slimfast can be effective if you actually follow all their advice-bar for breakfast, shake for lunch, well-balanced 800 calorie dinner. The key to weight loss is just consistent exercise and a balanced diet of around 1200-1600 calories per day.

The other thing to keep in mind is, no matter what diet you go on, or if you just start eating healthy and working out, it is not a good idea to be losing more than 2-3 pounds/week after the first week.

The south beach diet search on yahoo or google

the 1 i know best is exercising and eating right

? well...i was 130 when i was in korea..then i was 180 in three years..i gained 50 pounds. i know that ultimately to get in shape that i was (mind you ppl thought i was 120 and i had a six pack)...that one i had to work out 3 hours a day 5 days a week, cut out soda, coffee, fast food, and incorporate alot of vegetables which was not hard for me since i eat lots of korean food. and korean food consists of lots of veggies. anyways before i did that i wasn't motivated. i wasn't motivated because of one...my frame was so small that it barely held all the fat i had. so i was ACHING all the time. i never worked out when i was 180 but i was TIRED all the time along with the aches. I did the master cleanse diet to get me a jumpstart to my healthy lifestye. Beyonce did it for ten days and lost 20 pounds. The girl below the link lost 15 pounds in 7 days. I did it for ten days and lost 20 pounds. it took me three times to get it right. and it was one of the best decision. i was so energized and all of my aches was gone. so when i was 160 i started to work out like crazy and eating right.also its important to VARY your workout because u can hit a plateau...you need to shock your body to hit various muscles by doing different workout..for example, do pilates one day, then running the next, then use the medicine ball the following and etc...it was a matter of time i lost additional 20 pounds in another 2 months. i am 140 trying to lose the ten pounds which is a little bit harder now since i hit a plateau
