How can i stop binging?!

Question: Last november, i began eating much more sweets than usual, and eating until i was uncomfortably full. since then, i've put on 15 lbs and am very ver unhappy. I can't seem to lose the weight because i can't even get myself to go one day eating healthy. A few things have changed in my life, and perhaps its just the adaptation. But i was just curious, if anyone has any ideas for me? Its as if i'm punishing myself by going all day without crap food, then, suddenly, saying "whatever" and giving in. This weight gain is taking control of my life and i'm desperate. please

The fact that you're noticing that what you're doing is not good for your body is something to be proud of since that's always the first step. I think what's wrong in the first place is that you're not eating. It's okay to eat BUT you have to eat in small portions. The biggest mistake you can do is to go for a long time without food because that only makes you more hungry and in the end, you start shoving unhealthy food in your body. Start by eating 5-6 small portions of food everyday and drink lots of water because sometimes, our body is just really dehydrated when we think it's signalling that it's hungry.

Three last points: 1) Don't exclude what you love to eat in your diet, you can give yourself a treat once in while, like when you start losing a pound or two, to celebrate. Completely and abruptly taking out junk food or sweets will more likely start you binging again once control snaps. You also need sugar in your body to have energy throughout the day. 2) Exercise. If you're not a gym or sports buff, try walking around the block or the park atleast 30mins a day. Bring a friend or a dog along so that it won't get boring at times :) and lastly, 3) Be patient. It would take time to lost the weight that you've gained and it would be hard but if you're really bent on wanting to shed them off then do it one step at a time :)

Good Luck!

Try stocking up on Popsicles and small fruits and carrots or nuts. These foods are healthy and you can get your fix of just wanting to eat something. Also try drinking lots of water it makes you fill full when your not.

Drink Lot's of liquids. Don't punish yourself for eating anything. The more you worry about what you eating, the more binging you tend to do. Eat a little, but stop, knowing that there is more. Just put off the next bite for awhile. Tell yourself that you are going to wait. This might help in a couple of ways. You might lose the urge and you might feel better with the knowledge that you were able to stop.
