Humans ate meat for over a million years and now they say its bad for us!!

However, the poor conditions of most slaughtehouses makes the meat detrimental oftentimes. Also, no one knows the effects that using cloned animals is going to have on us.
We know that genetically modified plants have harmful effects.

meat itself is good food but processed meat that we get from these hamburgers contains unhealthy substances, e.g. fat (in big proportions) and other weird things sometimes...

Get lean hamburger meat and you wont have a problem.

A good substitution is ground turkey (I love it)

Meat, in itself is not unhealthy. Beef especially contains nutrients that are hard to get even with a well planned diet. Iron and protein are necessary for your well-being and health. Keep in mind, however, that things are best in moderation. Eating a hamburger made with lean ground beef will not be unhealthy as long as you make it part of a meal including vegetables, grains (your pita or a whole wheat bun), dairy and fruits. Eating unbalanced meals or meals that are too large is what will be unhealthy. One portion of meat is about the size of your palm. Check out the Canada Food Guide for more info. :D
