Balanced diet?!

Question: I am trying to change my lifestyle and incoporated vegetables and fruits daily in my diet. i am not sure i am doing this right.

for breakfast i have total fibe cereral with bananna or strawberry.

usually no lunch but dinner a meat rice and two servings of veggies.

it is easier for me to drink 100 percent juices during the day than eating fruits at times.

i would like an example of a balanced meal for a 26 year old female that gives the body everything it needs on a daily basis to be healthy

You NEED lunch. I know how hard it is to fit in, but it is absolutely necessary. You should eat something like this:
Total Fiber Cereal with 1/2 banana
Mid morning snack: 1/2 cup of Carrots
Lunch: healthy choice/Lean cuisine meal, (It's fast and east!) Or a sandwitch. try and keep it around 300 calories
Afternoon snack: Granola bar
Dinner Any meat with a carb (Bread, rice, potatos, etc) and mixed veggies.

On Saturdays allow yourself to go a little bit crazy, or you will not stick to eating well like this... Ever Saturday I treat myself to a piece of Cheesecake from Cheesecake facotry!

lunch is necessary
get lunch girl :]
THENNN...it will be a balanced day

balenced diet means you eat normal just enough to satisfy you of all the rite and good foods and no more
dont stuff yourself and dont eat lots of sugary foods or meat those help you gain weight

Your only eating 2 meals a day?? That's not balanced....you should eat 6 times a day....good breakfast, healthy snack, light lunch, healthy snack, healthy dinner, and possibly a snack after that....eating numerous small portioned healthy foods is better then skipping meals, cause you tend to not eat as much because your not as hungry during each meal as you are when you haven't eaten since breakfast! You should watch your calories though with all of these meals...on average, depending on height, weight, and age....somewhere between 1200 and 1500 a day....no less then 1200.

Any plan that only includes two meals isn't balanced. As long as you're not trying to lose weight, drinking fruit or vegetable juice is a fine way to get those in, but so is eating a serving with lunch (if you grab a yogurt with fruit in it, you've both had lunch and a fruit serving) and maybe a couple of snacks of fruit or veggies (I'm thinking finger food like carrot sticks or sugar snap peas) during the day. For people who are trying to lose weight, juice has all the calories of several pieces of fruit in one glass - not the best way to go.
