Laxatives for eating disorders?!

Question: Which laxatives work best?

& when exactly should I take them?
& is it a healthy alternative for an eating disorder? - rather than anorxia and bulimia?
Please don't sit here and post the dangers of eating disorders.
I've had one for 6 years and don't seem to be getting better.

Actually laxatives don't work. The food is already abosrbed into the body through the small intestine not large intestine (which is where laxatives work). It's not a healthy alternative...but any eating disorder isn't healthy. Aside from them not working how you think, they pose alot of health risks. Dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, and the worst - paralyzed bowel (where your bowels stop working because you are dependent on laxatives).

I suffer from anorexia, all laxatives got me was cramping and night-long stays on the toilet.

No, it's not healthy at all. Does anything SOUND healthy about being stuck on the pot all day?

Please, please see a therapist to get better.

no laxatives should only be used when you are severely constipated. you can really really ruin your intestines with them. plus, it sucks having to sh*t every 10 minutes all day you can't even do anything after you take it.

A girl in my school who used to take laxatives now has chromic diarrhea, for real this happens. She had to be hospitalized for severe abdominal pain and now can't control going to the bathroom anymore. It is definately not a safe alternative to eating disorders, it scares me :(

unfortunately it is just as bad for you to do things that way. Maybe couselling or a doctor could help you but taking advice about that sort of thing from here will only hurt you further.

err... I don't know sorry, just go on a diet or something for ages, and the gym. on tesco diets, its really good, it has all types of recipies, i havent been on it but i know who has
