ARENT YOU SUPPOSED TO BE HUNGRY DURING A DIET?

First of all, when on a 'diet' you should not feel hungry or deprived. Simple as that.

Next, you are young and still growing. You should not be 'dieting' at this age. If you are concerned about your health, you should consult a doctor before making any major changes in your eating or exercise.

Also, eating only 1200 calories a day for a moderately active 16 year old at your height is NOT a good idea. For healthy weight loss, you should not lose more than 2 lbs per week. More than that can cause hormone and metabolism changes (body goes into starvation mode). That means you should be eating at LEAST 1500-1600 calories a day.

Lastly, make sure your meals and snack are colourful--- lots of fruits and veggies. This variety will help you feel satisfied and will provide you with essential vitamins and minerals.
For example, with your rice and beans, you should add some bell peppers and mushrooms. Also, while drinking a lot of water will keep you from dehydrating, you should replace a few of those with skim milk and grapefruit juice.

At such a young age, it is very easy to become caught up in dieting and fitness. But unless you are careful and monitored by your doctor, you risk developing some unhealthy eating practices that may lead to an eating disorder. You'll be thin but you'll be dying as well.

dont be silly..if that rice & beans filled you up then be glad 4 it...by the way dont skip your meals in future if at all you naturally start losing appetite at times..its very normal for many people..if you do get the urge to simply avoid food at any cost just because you dont feel hungry at all, then just drink a glass of lowfat milk or fresh fruit juice..it keeps you nourished & hydrated...

You are not really soupose to get hungry during a diet. But it always depends on what diet you are on. My parents are on the south beach ( Which has great food. Tottally try it.).
