You are going to need a cage and a platform. You will need a cage with strong safety racks to safely bench or squat at home. Put your bench in the cage and have the safety rack set so that even if you dropped a heavy bar it would stop short of crushing your ribs or your trachea. Benching without a well-positioned safety rack or a spotter leads to many strangulation deaths and ribcage injuries each year.
For Squats, adjust the safety racks so you wouldn't have to go much lower than your natural bottom point to ditch the bar.-Squatting heavy outside a cage and without a spotter would be ridiculously stupid!
You wil need some kind of platform or mat so that on deadlifts and other movements from the floor the wieghts don't damage the floor and the floor doesn't damage the weights--If you are going to work cleans where you drop the weights you are going to need some Bumper plates, and a non-Mickey Mouse platform.
