good thing you said jogging b/c i was going to wonder what you wanted to start ruining. you should power-walk instead. start with 30 minutes a day and work your way up. start lifting light weights. and don't forget your diet. lots of fruits and veggies and stop eating what you have been that go you to your size.

Walk don't run!!! There are five times more joint surgery's in runners than walkers. You can burn just as many calories walking by adding just 10 minutes to an hour of a brisk walk.
In bad weather walk in the Mall. People think they have to have"fun" in everything. So they run then they go to the joint doctor.

Start by walking first.. small steps are the key to success in any thing we do.. that way you don't get frustated and quit..With your weight.. you might have some problems with you knees.. If you can afford the gym or have access to one.. Use the elipitical instead of the treadmill. Easier on the body and I lose more calories in less time too.

write down your goal on the fridge... source of food....on the mirror in your bathroom or dressing room... and keep reading about positive achievments... and good luck you will make it....remember when there is a will there is a way....

Start small. Take little steps, walk to work to help increase your cardio. When watching tv do sit ups, and when you want to change the channel get up and change it. 0r on the adverts of a show use a skipping rope until the ads are over.
When on the computer take breaks every now and then and do some lunges. When ever you feel like eating something "bad" go for a walk...and designate lengths of walking for the food you want...i.e a chocolate, walk for 30 minutes, packet of chips, walk for 45 minutes.
Drink lots and lots of water, when your cardio has gotten better, you can try jogging on your walks for 20 metres then walking for 40 metres, jogging for 20 and walking for the next 40 and so forth.
best of luck

EXERCISE - START SLOW
- Do shuttle runs up and down your driveway
- Go for a walk
- Use household items to do weights with
- Get a skipping rope. Skipping is the easiest way to get fit fast
- Do squats and lunges to tone your hips and thighs whilst you do cardio work

MOTIVATION - STAY POSITIVE
- Reward yourself for exercise. Make up a chart and once you've done a week of training, buy yourself a good book, or organize a spa treatment.
- Put up affirmations around the house. See: http://www.successconsciousness.com/inde...
- Get a personal trainer at the gym. They will motivate you and keep you on the right track.
