Risky dieting, could it mean life/death??!


Question: Today so far I ate

-english muffin (120 calories) with strawberry preserves (50 calories)

-hot dog (150 calories) with melted cheese slice (60 calories)

-yoplait light yogurt (100 calories)

did i eat well today, plus my dinner is going to be a subway 6" turkey sub on white pread with provolone cheese and lettuce and italian dressing. did i eat well?

depends on ur age. i used to eat like that for a long time, then i was diagnosed with anorexia. . .ur gonna kill your metabolism if you only eat 1000 calories a day. it will slow down and eventually be so slow you can barely eat anything without gaining weight. and if you dont eat enough calories your body will lose fat, but you will also lose muscle. and you will be skinny AND flabby. also, keep in mind that you need some fats because your brain is like, made of fat, and your organs are covered and protected by fat.

if ur MIDDLE AGED and DIETING, then 1200 would be agood amount. but if your a child, or a teen, or a young adult, then that is too few calories. you should be eating more like 1800.

also you need to be eating more in the morning and less at night. . .go to www.mypyramid.gov to find out how much you SHOULD be eating based on gender, age, height, weight, and activity level.

so really you didn't eat well today, honestly. but don't stress out about it. just do some research and eat based off of that research tomorrow.

seems fine to me

I think you need quite a lot more calories than that to keep your body functioning properly.

You should probably be eating more "meal" foods than snacky foods, that way you will be properly nourished.
