Why is it unhealthy (or bad) for people to drink milk in the morning?!

Question: for instance, my friends say that they never drink milk in the morning because it's not good for them, but they'll drink milk any other time.

Its Not Unhealthy. Milks Always Good For You. It Just Gives A Bad Taste When Your Groggy In The Morning. Thats All.

Thats the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard. I am a dietitian and ive heard many fads and tales but never that...drink it its grt for you!

It IS good for you. Sometimes it doesn't taste so good when you're groggy.

I don't think milk is ever really good for you to drink. Perhaps when you're under the age of 10. I think the concept behind milk and the word milk should give you an idea why people feel that way. Milk is generally for baby's because it's easily digestible and full of essential vitamins. But why at the age of 30 are people drinking the same thing as babies do? I don't wear diapers like one or throw tantrums like one so why am I still eating like I'm nursing out of...well....a cow.

But as far as your friends drinking it other times, that's just inconsistant unless its after working out.

Milk is also has a high glycemic index so it's digested quickly, has lots of sugar so carbs, and generally there are just better foods out there for you. I don't mind cottage cheese, cheese, or other things that come from milk because their form has substantially been changed and thus their protein profile is differently. Cottage cheese is processed more slowly than milk which goes right through your system. I just see milk as a sugary drink fit for babies.
