I need tips?!


Question: Ok I need to lose weight. Who doesn't?

I know how to lose weight, its not that hard.

The hard part is MOTIVATION. I am hoping for tips from people who have lost the weight.

Bottom line I need to lose around 70 pounds by February for my wedding. What did you do/say to keep yourself going at it? What methods did you use? I keep failing after day 1. haha

Join Weight Watchers. I do the online program and it works wonders. Really keeps you on your toes. Also, Join a gym and make yourself go everyday. Skip one day a week to give your body rest. Once you get into a routine, you'll love going! Trust me.

Do you have a pic of you at the weight you want to be? If so put it on the fridge, so if you try and go to eat something bad you will see it, and get reminded to stay on your diet.

drink one full cup of water before everything you eat. this way you will feel hungry sooner and your skin will have more moisture so it will be tight when your done.

you just want to be at 1000 calories a day and 20 grams of fat and about 1-2 hours of exercise!

I bought an outfit that I want to wear when I go to see everyone that has called me fat/didnt think i could do it. or the people who didnt even know i was trying. I got the outfit and hung it on my fridge. no lie. everytime I went for the ice cream i saw it and was like, nope not this time!

you should distract yourself and have goalpoints-everytime you reachone give yourself an awesome treat like shoes and also think"im doing this for him"

1) Get enough sleep. (This is the single most important thing you can do to lose weight).

2) Reduce your stress level. (Take a few minutes each day to relax. If your stressed about your wedding now, than I don't see how you are going to make it to Feb.)

3) Try and exercise for at least 5 hours a week. It doesn't have to be intense, and it can be something you like doing, but do it.

4) Eat more in the morning and less at night. And make sure you eat enough. If you starve yourself you are going to fail.

5) Find a schedule and stick with it. Go to bed at the same time every night, and wake up at the same time every morning (even weekends). Exercise at the same time every day. Eat at the same time every day. Plan your meals for a week in advanced.

6) If you are tired than rest.

7) Don't worry about losing weight, instead focus on being healthy. After all you don't really want to lose 70 lbs for your wedding, you want to look good for your wedding. Don't focus on the scale, but instead focus on feeling good and energetic.

The bottom line is simple. To stay motivated to losing weight you need to control your stress, which is going to be hard with your wedding comming up. Make sure you take time out of your day to relax. Combat the major causes of stress before they happen.

If you set any deadline to lose weight you are going to lose motivation fast if you don't reach your goal. Instead put losing weight out of your mind, and just be healthy.
