5 7 and 190 pounds... how much should i lose?!


Question: i'm working my way up to walking a few miles every day and i'm starting to eat right. i want to know how much i can lose in 2 months if i walk everyday and eat rite.
also, wat major rules should i follow? i know it's not about a diet, it's a lifestyle and i'm willing to change my whole lifestyle to be thin.

I would say 120-130 pounds is a healthy weight. However, you need to gain muscle, because im guessing you probably dont have much as of now, i would say to gain a good 7-10 pounds of a muscle while losing weight. You wont really be able to figure out exactly how much muscle you gain though so i would say when you can jog 3 miles without stopping in 30 min you are in a good place. then i would recommend that you do cross country this coming fall if you are in high school.
make sure you do eat right, whole grains, fruits, veggies, tons of protein, HEALTHY fats, dont eat bad milk fats and buttery, trans fatty stuff. i used to be a stick but i was really unhealthy, now i gained weight(mostly muscle) eat a lot more, but i eat way healthier. If you eat like 1500 cals a day and do a lot of walking, like 3 miles a day you could lose that weight in no time. Just dont become a slave to the scale!!! you should base your weight loss of measurements instead of pounds, because scales destroy people. dont expect it to happen overnight, because it wont, but youll see results after probably just 2 weeks! stick with it!
Also do not touch soda ever again, completely waste of calories. Dont buy junk food, dont buy ANY at all, no sweets or anything. if you get the sweet tooth though, eat fruit or some fat free ice cream with friut maybe. OR make your own desserts, you can alter recipes so they use healthier things and freeze leftovers. I make cookies and freeze the dough, then whenever ive got the sweet tooth a pop one or two in the oven. I always sub in oil for butter and try to use whole wheat flour when i can..If you want i can send you some recipe recommendations for desserts that arent too detrimental in moderation! just send me a message, im a health nut by the way =D

When I run 5 miles a day, 6 days a week and I eat 1800 calories a day, I lose 2 lbs a week. Try walking 5 miles a day, walk 2.5 miles in the morning and 2.5 miles at night, and eat 1800 calories. You should lose 2 lbs in a week.

you don't want to lose too much weight too fast because then you are most likely losing muscle mass as well. 5lbs a week is feasible. As far as what you should weigh, go by bodyfat % not pounds. You get a real result that you can use for setting your goals.
