How can i lose 15-20 pounds in one month?!

Question:

How can i lose 15-20 pounds in one month?

today i returned the air climber,(it was working though!) because i HATE sea food, and it was in the jump start meal plan book, so i decided to return. also, i wanted to use that money for my singing lessons ($120 a month). So, is there any kind of diet that i could do? or...what? everytime i use a workout video, it'll make me sweat for the first 3 days, but then after that, it BARELY raises my heart rate. even when i do those workout videos that claim to make u lose up to 1000 cals per workout. I'm REALLY looking for an answer from people who have actually lost weight by themselves and not from a gym membership or anything. but i'll accept advice from anyone. (i KNOW that the gym isnt the only way) also, my right knee has been hurting me for a long time now...so it wouldnt be a good idea to do jogging.

there are many factors that contribute to weight loss, but losing 15-20 pounds in one month is not the healthiest goal. but hey, aim high, cuz if you fall short, you'll still have gone up! exercise is important, of course, and so is sleep and getting plenty of water. most important, however, is diet. let's say you'd burn 2000 calories a day if you spent all day sitting doing nothing. this is the amount of energy your body uses to simply stay alive. your body fat percentage will increase when you consume more than 2000 calories; it will maintain at 2000; it will decrease if you consume less than 2000 calories. bottom line: count your calories. and watch what you eat. stay away from sugar and starches. keep to good carbs (whole wheats or gluten free) and veggies (green is good for you!) and low-fat protein (white meat chicken) drink only water or natural fresh fruit juice not from concentrate and no sugars added and green tea. soda and energy drinks are bad. eat several small meals rather than three large meals. proportions help in measuring calories anyhow. read your nutrition labels! in the "ingredients" section, things are listed form greatest quantity to lowest quantity. if you see anything like "high fructose corn syrup" do not eat it. don't know what your daily caloric restriction is? check out the following website:
