Are those frozen weight loss meals really good for you?

not at all....reading the list of ingredients tells you how healthy a food item truly is. the longer the list of ingredients the more processed a food item is and the less healthy it is.

there is a lot more to healthy eating then counting calories, carbs, etc. the source of calories is more important than the calories themselves. frozen foods are heavily processed and are loading with various additives and preservatives which are nothing but chemicals. the less chemicals that you put in your body on a daily basis the healthier you will be in the short and long term. remember you are what you eat

They're low in calories but shockingly high in salt and chemicals so it's really not a good idea to eat them regularly. There's also more nutrients in food when it's not been frozen so making your own meals with fresh vegetables, fish etc would be much better for you. X

its not as smart a choice as everyone thinks.
yes, they claim to be less calories, better for you, etc.

BUT the salt used to preserve all those frozen meals (healthy or not) is disgusting. the sodium is waaay high

well they are npot bad for you, but they arnt miracle weight loss meals. They are exsctly the same as if you prepared and cooked a low fat meal yourself. I do think that you could have a healthier, lower fat luch if it is home made , because then you can control what goes into it. you can also find lower fat alternatives.
alot of the time, healthy frozen meals are just the same as the full fat or Non diet ones, just alot smaller.

the calorie count is low but the sodium (salt) is high. how else can they get fat ppl to like them?

Unfortunately they are high in Sodium which is not so good for you. Take a look at the labels and if they have more than 350 grams of sodium you would be better off making something yourself. Some of these offer lower sodium versions, but they typically taste really bad.

Healthy Choice is a pretty good option if you have to have a frozen meal. Their meals are high in fiber and low in saturated fat and calories.

Take a look at www.webdietsuccess.com and there is a calorie nutrition tool there and you can find out the calorie and nutrition content of any food - including Healthy Choice meals and Smart Ones meals!
