Can i still exercise with a hurt wrist?!


Question:

Can i still exercise with a hurt wrist?

Hurt it a few months ago it was getting better now playing up im spraying deep heat on it.Its not banadaged i can move it alright and it is slowly getting better i cant do push-ups though. Can i still have a livley workout?Can i still jog or use my resistance band?I love exercise and i miss it.Any advice please?

You need a girlfriend, fast! Really, think of pain as a gift. If your wrist still hurts, you need to back off a little until it improved. You didn't say what type of injury you had, but for either soft tissue(muscle, tendon, ligament) injury, it may take several months to completely heal, especially tendon or ligament. These tissues have a limited blood supply so are much slower to heal. Jogging shouldn't be a problem at all. Push-ups hyper extend the wrist so should be done only if you are feeling little or no pain. Resistance bands should be OK if not too strong. Use this pain scale; O is no pain at all and 10 is excruciating. If what you are doing raises your pain level above a 3 or 4, back off a little. I assume you did not fracture a bone since you didn't mention a cast. good luck
